Method. Headline figures are curated from UN OCHA, IOM, UNHCR, IPC, WFP, WHO, BINUH, the World Bank and other primary sources, and show the date each figure refers to. They are reviewed monthly. Charts load directly from the World Bank Open Data API and the UNHCR Refugee Data Finder API; these sources publish annual figures, so the latest year may lag current events. Countries are drawn from the IRC 2026 Emergency Watchlist.
